Based in the USA and Japan and working globally, we bring together rare expertise in cultural fluency, professional sports experience, and trust-building strategies.
We understand that when a Major League Baseball team signs an international superstar, they’re making a multi-million-dollar investment. Our role is to protect that investment by removing the cultural, communication, and adaptation barriers that can limit performance.

about our founder Will Ireton
Born in Tokyo to a Japanese American father and Filipino mother, Will Ireton grew up with a global perspective that shaped his career path. Moving to Honolulu at 15 to pursue professional baseball, he went on to represent Team Philippines in the World Baseball Classic and play with the Texas Rangers before transitioning into leadership roles off the field. After internships with the Rangers and Yankees, he became General Manager of Team Philippines in 2015, building a competitive international roster. Joining the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016 as an interpreter for a Japanese player, Will quickly advanced - first as a development coach for their AAA affiliate, then into Major League Performance Operations. Today, he serves as Director of Japanese Player Operations and Strategy, where he oversees talent integration, cross-department collaboration, and international initiatives.
Academically, Will graduated Valedictorian from Menlo College with a degree in International Business Management, excelling both on the field and in the classroom. Fluent in Japanese and English, he brings rare cross-cultural expertise, blending athletic experience, analytics, and executive leadership. As founder of WAI Consulting Group, Will now leverages nearly a decade with one of baseball’s most forward-thinking organizations to help clients navigate global strategy, performance operations, and leadership development. Partnering with WAI means working with a trusted advisor who knows what it takes to perform, adapt, and succeed on the world stage.
